Asbury Park, NJ – Asbury Park Zest is proud to announce the Jersey Shore launch of Chateau Maris, the award-winning organic/biodynamic winery from the south of France. The launch party will be on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Brandl Restaurant, 703 Belmar Plaza, Belmar from 6-8pm. It will also mark the homecoming of Chateau Maris owner, Kevin Parker, a Belmar native and graduate of St. Rose Grammar School and St. Rose High School, who today is a NYC resident and world renowned investment banker and green activist. The evening will also toast the Spring issue of green LIFE NJ.
green LIFE NJ, an Asbury Park-based publication growing statewide and dedicated to an environmentally friendly lifestyle and aesthetic, is pleased to represent Chateau Maris as an advertiser and looks forward to introducing the noteworthy vineyard and their organic/biodynamic wines to the Monmouth County community.
Chateau Maris is the first European winery to achieve Certified B Corporation status in Europe. This means their operating procedures meet the highest standards of overall social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. Their distinguished wines are produced with certified organic and biodynamic wine grapes and farming methods.
Parker and his team continue to seek out innovative solutions to reduce their environmental footprint throughout the wine-making process. The building in which they make all of their wines, the chai, is environmentally efficient using only renewable raw materials – hemp lime bricks supported on a wooden structure – and therefore, is completely recyclable with zero carbon emissions.
Parker relates, “Consumers today are more focused than ever before on health and wellness, and they want to know what they are putting into their bodies is free of chemicals. Companies are beginning to recognize this demand and are emphasizing more sustainable practices in their businesses.”
Chateau Maris is also the producer of the first organic wine in cans in the world, perfect for the upcoming beach season, boating, clambakes, backyard BBQ’s, picnicking, hiking and all-round summer parties.
In keeping with the environmentally friendly theme, guests will have the opportunity to see the all-electric BMW i3 and the plug-in hybrid BMW i8 courtesy of Circle BMW, Eatontown. Forget everything you once thought about electric cars, and imagine a world powered by performance, design, innovation, and efficiency.
